Tax on employment income
No personal income tax on salaries. Corporate income tax applies to the non-Saudi share of profits, zakat to the Saudi and GCC share, VAT to sales, and levies apply to expatriate employees.
A simpler legal framework
The new Investment Law replaced licensing with registration, and the new Commercial Register Law replaced expiry with an annual confirmation of data.
